ABSTRACT

Work-life balance is highly desirable and involves maintaining equilibrium between professional and personal work. With the onset of a novel coronavirus pandemic, the workforce has seen unprecedented changes. Instead of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of India implemented a nationwide lockdown and several isolation policies. IT industry has seen a massive increase in work from home policy. Many companies permanently shift working patterns to embrace remote working. Because of this lockdown, many employees working in this sector have experienced psychological distress. With companies expecting their employees to perform with the same productivity, worklife balance has taken a toll. It becomes imperative to identify the factors that most influence the balance. The responses are collected from employees across the IT industry in various regions of India. Factor analysis is employed to identify the most and least important factors that affect work-life balance during COVID-19 lockdown.

ABSTRACT

COVID-19 has come with a bang and has got settled disrupting life and economy the world over. Organizations in the sector are trying to adjust to this new normal in their own unique ways for the past two years. Surviving in these new times, coming up with new business models, remaining in business, switching over to new businesses that have gained importance all of a sudden are on extreme priority for all organizations. One of the issues which is not given much thought, attention and importance is the well-being and mental health of employees during these times of extreme uncertainty. This paper focusses on this overlooked but crucial aspect of COVID-19 pandemic. ABSTRACT

The Covid 19 pandemic lockdown in India led the education to move from classroom learning to online learning. This created the need for online learning pedagogies. The current study focuses on developing synchronous and asynchronous models of online learning for engineering students. The data for the current study was collected through interviews of engineering students of different specializations. Transcription of interviews were prepared and subjected to three levels of coding i.e. open coding, axial coding and selective coding in order to prepare concepts. The concepts were then integrated into a model using grounded theory approach. The finding indicate that synchronous mode leads to group learning, peer learning, learning through simulation and effective learning. The asynchronous mode leads to reinforcement based learning. © 2022, Rajarambapu Institute Of Technology. All rights reserved.

ABSTRACT

COVID-19 has been classified a WHO very hazardous pandemic, with millions of people being infected deceased in only a few months. Many pharmaceutical developers are researching a viral vaccine however there has been no reporting of progress. At the global level, the financial market is seriously affected by the virus and the government preventive actions. These preventative measures have resulted in numerous organizations throwing their staff away or imposing wage reductions. Dread of being infected with the virus, as well as fear that jobs will be lost and the future financial difficulties would degrade the mental health of the employees. This article also examines various settings in situations where different employees feel uneasy as a result of the COVID-19 outburst.
